Green in colour, Green in Nature

We are more than aware of the impact of trucks on our environment. Our trucks are more green than colour alone, 90% of our fleet feature "Euro 3" engines, meeting the highest emissions criteria of the EU. They are equipped with engine "Hush Kits" to ensure minimal noise levels. Where available, they run on Pure Plant Oil and all used maintenance oils are recovered for re-cycling. "Anti spray" equipment is used throughout the fleet to reduce spray levels to allow for better visibility for other road users during "soft days".

We believe that this country is quite capable of running its entire Long Distance HGV Fleet (and more) on home grown Rape Seed Oil (RSO). Thus enhancing our environment and national wealth. Yet there are many genuine people who believe this is impossible. We believe therefore, it is our goal to start a dialogue so that we can change this perception.

EXAMPLE

When we attended the RAI Show in Amsterdam, amongst about eight alternative forms of energy, PPO was not mentioned. Yet Germany produces 1 Billion litres annually powering 30,000 trucks. Ireland was using RSO. grown in Donegal, in the early 1900's to power engines. But we seem to have lost all memory of this.
